A stay with Some Issues

The room included a fridge and a microwave, convenient. The twin room was a good size, newly decorated, and also clean.
The check-in process was not smooth (it took over an hour). The streets outside were noisy, and the towels in the bathroom had an unpleasant smell as if they hadn't been properly washed.

The double room was spacious. The shower room was equally spacious. I appreciated the hotel maintaining its historic appearance inside with the lovely wooden staircase and wooden decorations.
One of the throws on the bed had a large stain on it. The TV in the room did not work. It indicated no signal. The WiFi signal did not seem to reach the room.

we had a double room. the room had a fridge and a microwave (very useful for heating up leftovers). the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly with directions. access to the multi-storey car park was quick and easy.
the lighting in the courtyard was quite poor. i tripped over the steps one evening because i could not see them well in the dark. perhaps some additional lighting could improve safety (especially at night).

the hotel is right on the high street. this provides easy access to many shops and restaurants. the docks are also within easy walking distance, about ten minutes on foot. the location is excellent for exploring.

Underwhelming Stay with a Few Hiccups

The location was pretty central, helpful to get around.
The shower was a mess. Water sprayed everywhere. I was attending a wedding and had no time to deal with the malfunction, so my whole experience was not amazing.
